Ragnaia Park
The Ragnaia Park, a woodland park and garden not far from San Giovanni d’Asso, a village three hundred meters above sea level in the Val d’Orcia, is not even thirty years old. Begun in 1996, the Ragnaia Forest is still under construction today, an incessant echo of the question “If Not Here, Where?” that visitors will find carved in stone. Open from dawn to dusk in all seasons, the park (which owes its name to the net that was stretched between the trees to catch birds) is therefore proposed as a meditative place open to all, free of charge. With simple rules: loud noises are banned, groups must be authorized to visit and smoking is prohibited.
